Campaign Overview

#TheCapCares 2021

We worked with The Capitol Theatre (Port Chester, NY) as part of their re-opening strategy, to launch #TheCapCares Volunteer Rewards Program, where we encouraged music fans to volunteer together in the community. As a thank you, participants earned free concert tickets. Over the 7 weeks, we organized 18 events that supported 11 non-profits in Westchester and Fairfield counties. 192 volunteers participated.

Volunteers sorted medical supplies at Afya Foundation, prepped and cooked nutritious meals at Second Chance Foods, partnered with Westchester Parks Foundation to remove invasive plants at Edith Read Wildlife Sanctuary, Ridge Road Trail as well as Westport’s Sherwood Island.  Volunteers also harvested food at Hilltop Hanover Farm and Our New Way Garden, sorted donated children’s clothes at 914Cares, and helped feed families during pantry days at Caritas in Port Chester and Mt. Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry.

Our impact: 192 volunteers,  475 hours of service, 4965 sq ft of invasive plants removed, 750 lbs of medical supplies sorted, 320 families fed at local food pantries, 36 carloads of donated furniture organized and tagged, 900lbs of fresh produced chopped, and prepped for nutritious meals, 300 pints of sweet & spicy relish prepared, 100 flow kits assembled with period products, 4 carts of kids/baby clothes sorted.
