Campaign Overview
#TheCapCares 2022
In 2022, we continued our work with The Capitol Theatre (Port Chester, NY) and expanded #TheCapCares to partner with new nonprofit locations and increase community engagement. The volunteer rewards program encourages music fans to volunteer together. As a thank you, participants earn free concert tickets. Over the 10 months, we organized 11 events that supported 11 nonprofits in Westchester County. 153 volunteers participated.
Volunteers organized carloads of donated household items at Furniture Sharehouse, removed invasive weeds and spread compost at D.I.G Farm, Our New Way Garden, and Hilltop Hanover Farm, cleaned up the waterfront on Earth Day in Port Chester, planted summer annuals at Lasdon Park & Arboretum, sorted donated children’s clothes and assembled hygiene kits at 914Cares, helped feed families at Meals on Main Street in Port Chester, provided Thanksgiving holiday meals at Mt.
